While some may be planning to spend their winter holiday the usual way, others are booking a warm and exciting winter holiday vacation at a Disney resort. While soaking up the beautiful and warm weather, guest can celebrate the holiday with their family and the many Disney characters. Guests will also have the opportunity to experience the newly anticipated themed area, Enchanted Forest, thanks to the New Fantasyland expansion.
The New Fantasyland, located in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, is expected to nearly double in size once completed. The expansion will offer guests more attractions, rides, stories and interactive experiences with their favorite Disney characters. The upcoming new themed area, Enchanted Forest, is expected to open on December 6. Here guests can enjoy a musical ride under the sea at the Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid ride or visit the mermaid princess herself at Ariel's Grotto. In addition to Disney's popular mermaid, you can visit Disney's favorite Beast and his love, Belle, at Enchanted Tales with Belle, and experience fine dining, served with alcohol, at the Be Our Guest Restaurant.
Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid
At the Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid attraction, housed in Prince Eric's castle, guests can journey through Ariel's undersea world. Guests will be taken to the bottom of the ocean, seated in clamshell-designed vehicles, where they will experience a musical adventure, recapping scenes from Ariel's journey. Guests can expect appearances from Ariel's father, Price Eric, and her sea creature friends, Sebastian and Flounder. And beware – the evil villain Ursula herself will make an appearance!
Before you head out, don't miss your opportunity to meet and capture a shot with the underwater Princess! Located in a cave next to Prince Eric's castle, at Ariel's Grotto, guests can experience a meet-and-greet with the redheaded beauty.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
At the Enchanted Tales with Bell, which takes place in Maurice's Cottage, as guests make their way through the cottage, they can listen and watch the retelling of the popular Disney story by actors and actresses – right in front of them!
Be Our Guest Restaurant
Of course, no Disney resort trip is complete without fine dining. And you can experience it at the Be Our Guest Restaurant. The Beauty and the Beast Disney movie themed restaurant is expected to open on November 19 and will offer guests beer and wine. This is a first in the 41-year history that Magic Kingdom will serve alcohol. However, since alcohol will only be served during dinnertime hours, be sure to book your night out with a glass of bubbly ahead of time!
