City of Angels Los Angeles

The city of angels, also known as Los Angeles, has plenty of activities for you and your family and friends to enjoy. There are theme parks, museums, fabulous beaches and historic destinations that you will only find in Southern California.

Disneyland is known as the happiest place on earth, and if you want to experience the whole park you need to stay for at least two days. You can stay at the park, or at a hotel close by. Anaheim has plenty of affordable hotels, motels and Inns for every budget.

If you have never been to Los Angeles before, you have to go to Hollywood. Walk down the boulevard and match your hand and foot prints at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, travel down the walk of fame and see the world famous Ripley’s Believe It or Not or take a open top tour bus and see how many famous people you can spot. If you rent a car, you can grab a map to the stars homes and travel at your own pace. A trip to Hollywood is not complete without a visit to the Saddle Ranch. You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner and ride the bull that so many celebrities have tried their luck on.

The Rancho La Brea Tar Pits should be on everyone’s list of the top 5 activities in Los Angeles. The Pits are home to one of the world’s largest and most famous fossil locations. You and your family can discover what Los Angeles was like 40,000 years ago. Wooly mammoths, dinosaurs and saber-toothed tigers are just some of the fossils that you will see at the Page Museum in the Rancho La Brea Tar Pits. After the tour have a bite to eat at Pinks. This world renowned hot dog stand has been around since 1939 and serves up some great dishes. You can try a Betty White dog, or munch on a chili cheeseburger.

A visit to the city of angels is not complete without a trip to the beach. Los Angeles has some of the most famous shorelines in the world including Malibu, Santa Monica, and Venice. Spend an afternoon in Malibu and have lunch at one of the restaurants along the shore. Head further south and stop in Santa Monica and shop for souvenirs at the world famous pier. During the warmer months soak in the sun and go for a swim. Have dinner at the end of the pier and watch the beautiful sunset over the ocean. Venice Beach is known for its quirky entertainers and if you are lucky, you may be asked to get into the act. You can watch jugglers, acrobats, musicians and artists while you shop for sunglasses and t-shirts. Muscle beach is where Arnold Schwarzenegger used to work out, and the newly renovated outdoor gym is still quite popular with the locals.

Stop thinking and start making plans. Los Angeles is beautiful all year round and there has never been a better time to book your trip as there are plenty of discount packages available.
